Archaeological Museum of Kandy Reviews
Archaeological Museum of Kandy Sep 11, 2011
You can find the archaeological museum in Kandy close to the Temple of The Tooth. The museum is in an old building and the entrance is covered in the Cultural Triangle Pass you can buy to visit several destination mainly in this part of Sri Lanka.
The building is probably more interesting than the actual exhibition which only consists of a bunch of old rubles without much explanation for the different items. You can ask the man responsible for the museum for a quick explanatory tour of the museum if you like. He works for free - but will probably expect a tip if you go on a tour with him.
The museum is close to the temple of the tooth so you can go in for a visit if you are very keen on looking at old archaeological finds - if you are not very keen you won’t miss the museum if you skip it.
