Our Best Meal in Portugal Dec 04, 2009
If you've made it to Portugal you know that these people can cook and really give the Italians, French and Catalans a run for their money. However, Arcadas takes the cake when it comes to dining in Portugal. It's a humble one star Michelin restaurant but I really feel that the Michelin crew needs to revisit this place and give them a few more stars. The multi-course prix fixe menus are modestly priced around 65 euros. The service is world class and the ambiance is romantic and historical. The restaurant is located in , one of Portugal's historical pousadas, the Portuguese answer to Spain's paradors. The food blew our minds and we travel to eat. The wine pairing for the multi-course meal was a bargain at 20 euros. Do not miss the wine pairings, you'll sample some of Portugal finest wines that are so good they'll never make it out of this lovely Iberian country. When in Coimbra, do not miss an opportunity to dine here. You will love it.
My first dessert, a delicious lemo…
My second dessert, petit fours.
My entree, skate wing dore
