Arasta Bazaar May 27, 2017
The Bazaar is hidden behind the Blue Mosque and has a certain historical appeal, despite the fact that it was re-built in the 1980s.

My hotel was nearby and I walked through everyday. It is on only one long street with shops on boths sides.

Arasta bazaar is a very small scale of Grand Bazaar and it is not underroofed. It offers pretty much the same things that all of the other bazaars offer: carpet, spices, Turkish Delight, handbags, clothes.

I liked the diversity of items from some food items to antiques and jewels. On last day I bought some fresh Turkish Delight.

This is a less crowded area and some shops close in the early evening. It was quiet and sellers did not bother me at all when I passed in front of their shops.

The prices here were not lesser than in the bigger bazaars. It was very pleasant to shop here, specially if you were in mood to haggle.

This bazaar has its own charm. You can always stop to drink or eat something.
