Aranjuez Hotel San Jose

We stayed in Aranjuez as a layover until our flight. The hotel is a good place to stay however it was a bit more noisy than expected.
We stayed in room 30 which is next to the lounge and the bathroom dorms. There were no quiet hours and unfortunately people were up until very late. After, another group of guest had a morning flight and took showers VERY early in the morning. We heard EVERYTHING...so the walls in that room seemed very thin.
The room itself is equipped with a flat screen TV and good mattresses. The bathroom, though, was a bit dirty was there was no separation between the shower and toilet..which was a bit weird to see.

The GREAT thing about Aranjuez was the amazing breakfast spread they had. Fruit, different style eggs and bread, omelet station, etc. Not your typical Costa Rican restaurant but excellent meal.

Mmm, distinctly underwhelmed by this place. It is a decent enough stopover joint, and has a gret shower. Plus, the breakfast is really good. But, I guess I was sold on it a little in the Rough Guide to Costa Rica. Frankly, it doesn't match the write-up. The room was functional, the bed was alright, the service fine. I was expecting more though. I guess expectations are dangerous things.

Still, it's a room. :D
