Aran View House Hotel Doolin
Aran View House Hotel Doolin Reviews
Oct 29, 2007
I stayed in this hotel in summer 06 for three nights. The view and location and simply stunning. Standing at the front door you can see out across the Galway bay and see Iniseer, the smallest of the Aran Islands. The hotel is old and in existance since the 1700s, they have modernised of course but it still holds a real old world charm with cosy, country type bedrooms and a quaint bar and restaurant. The room was clean and cosy and the food was excellent. Craic in the bar is excellent, we met a great mix of nationalities and were up till the early hours singing folk songs...:)
Doolin village is 5 minutes walk with several other pubs and restaurants, Doolin harbour then is where you can sail out to the Aran Islands and Galway is about 45 minutes drive. Lovely staff and my favourite hotel in Ireland so far! |
