Arabela Bakehaus & Coffee Shop

Arabela's is probably the only place of its kind in Liliw. It's a tiny air conditioned restaurant that seats no more than 30 people. The ceiling is low so be warned.

I was amazed not just at the menu, but at the quality of the food they served. It wasn't just good for provincial standards, it was excellent. They had all sorts of pasta, certainly more than your average provincial spaghetti with sweet bolognese sauce topped with flaming red hotdogs. Their desserts were quite excellent too, and we shared about 6 different kinds. Arabela's is definitely a must when in Liliw. This place actually made me forget I was in the province - not that it's a bad thing. It just offers the kind of sophistication one doesn't quite expect.
