You would think that the Arab baths would have been built in Girona during the Moorish occupation, but this is not the case. They were built in the twelfth century, long after the Moors had gone. The baths have several rooms, and areas for hot and cold water. They are no longer working of course, but the site is rather lovely to stroll through. The baths remind me of the architecture in Alhambra, Granada, and the star-shaped details in the roof let in this wonderfully-diffused light. There aren’t that many attractions in Girona, so coming here will be one of the highlights!
