Day 1:
Nîmes - St. Ambroix
90 km
After a busy week with lots of preparations our bus left at Eindhoven station at 16.00h. The bus wasn’t completely full, so Bas (my travel buddy) and I chose a place at the back of the bus. (After the bus trip we were sorry about this decision, because we were sitting right above the engine) After a 14 hour trip the bus left the toll road suddenly and I realised that we were entering Nîmes. But it was only half past 5 and still dark outside...

The next step was to take a taxi from Bayonne to Anglet. Unfortunately, it was almost midnight and all of the taxi drivers in Bayonne must have been sleeping, because after 45 minutes of waiting at a taxi stand outside the station the only thing that went by was a piece of litter being blown by the freezing, night-time wind. Luckily, a French student who spoke a bit of English walked by and was able to phone a cab for me. A short ride later and I was finally at my destination.

That's it, we were leaving for some 46 days of adventure on the famous way of Saint-James in Spain. Our flight Montreal - Paris was very nice. In Paris, we ran again to get our connecting flight to Biarritz.
We finally arrived in Biarritz. My friend MAM from France was waiting for us at the aeroport with her husband and some their friends. It was the first time we met in person. She was perfect, I couldn't ask for better TB. Her friend Momo&nb...

Day 17:
Verdun - Beatrix
116 kms
After a rainy night we woke up in a strange atmosphere, the sun was shining a bit and it was still a bit clammy. Probably because of this we were slow. The Dutch family, who were also leaving this morning, was much faster. They wanted to set a new record time. Around a quarter to nine we left the camping site. In one hour we took over the Dutch family and we cycled together the rest of the day.
Halfway this day we entered Belgium and this was...

Travelling with my bestfriend in Paris in July, although the rain was on and off, it did not prevent us from witnessing the fire works and the lighting of the Eiffel tower...although soaking wet and shaking with cold hands...it was fun! We even grab a sorbet near Notre Dame de paris! Great I had Jean Michael who stopped my hand from shaking!
