Aquaventure Waterpark
Aquaventure Waterpark Reviews
Awesome Waterpark Adventure!!! Aug 31, 2009
This water park was so Awesome!!! So well designed... instead of having to climb ladders and wait in long lines to enjoy rides, you literally float around in a lazy river going from to ride to ride. The few places you do end up waiting in lines are covered in shade with impecible views of the Palm Jumeriah. My favorite ride was the Shark Tank were you literally drift through a tank filled with Rays and Sharks! Totally amazing!! This is by far the best water park I have been anywhere in the world!

Leap of faith! Apr 17, 2009
Atlantis hotel Dubai which was recently open has a waterpark called the Aquaventure. The waterpark has several rides which are centered and started from a huge tower + aquarium called the ziggurat.
The price per person is 285 AED, with additional price for locker rent and towel, if you forget to bring yours..the total of around 100 USD to this waterpark is a bit too much, but it's still worth a try. We arrived there on Friday morning, right when they just opened at 10 am, which was a good timing since there weren't too many people so we didn't have to queue too long for the first few rides. The first ride was a todal river, 2.3 km lazy river with several tides here and there. We took double water baloon and I can sit in front. The hole in the baloon was a bit too big for me so my back bumped onto the bottom of the slides all the time. Then Roy wound me up to take the slide called leap of faith - 27.5-m straight line slide. I felt shiver on my spine just thinking about that, so I wasn't sure at first.. but when we came to the queuing line, tehre were bunch of kids, just half of my height and they seemed enjoying and having fun! One of them told me "after 10 times, you will feel nothing"..so I decide that I can't be humiliated by kids and I will take the slide! ... And I regretted it:D.... Actually it wasn't so bad as it went so fast, but the feeling when your turn came, you have to sit with the position told by the guard and wait for his green light to go... it was so scary, now I can feel the feeling of chicken in a slaughtering line:( You know what will happen there, but nothing you can do. I felt that I fell down freely, nothing under my feet, for a few seconds before the slides turn flatter and splashed water everywhere and I went through a slide underneath fish tank and came out in a pool. Then we continued to take another ride, it called Shark Attack. We went to a fast and curvy slides before we entered a tunnel inside the big tank, so we can flow slowly and watch fish swim around us. Around mid day - the people started coming and this place became very crowded. We only know after that actually we can enter the aquarium site without additional cost.. too bad we didn't know!
