Aquarius Hotel Kuta Reviews
Aquarius Hotel Bali Feb 28, 2013
I stayed twice here on separate occasion several years ago and it was good value for money, as the hotel is close to beach, shops, restaurants and bar or other entertainment. It is around 10 minutes walk to Legian beach and plenty of restaurants and café next to the hotel. I have deluxe room at the first floor near swimming pool which cost Rp.450,000 per night for one or two people including breakfast (price were in 2009 and 2010).
The room is quite modern with marble floor, comfortable double bed, en suite bathroom with glass shower and full toiletries provided freely. Everything is work good, including the television, air condition and refrigerator, and the cleaner changes the towel on daily basis. The hotel building is narrow and long, and in the very back is the cottage style accommodation which is stood the older building and a lot cheaper than the front building where I stayed and the building I am staying also look much nicer than the cottage building.
The pool is quite small but adequate, clean with cool water and not many guest swimming while I was there (it is low season) and there are several lazy chairs near the pool. However, there were no pool towel available and I have to ask from the reception in front. The pool towel is free of charge for hotel guest and I can ask as many as I want. Most guests here are young Australian, even though I see some older guest staying here.
Breakfast is very simple of fried eggs, toast, tea or coffee serve at the front of the building near the reception area. I usually eat outside as the food in the hotel restaurant is not that good, but price is quite reasonable and not that expensive, and it is busy with people sitting there with their laptop as internet is free here, mostly young Australian and it is a wee bit noisy.
The hotel provides 3 free computers to use for hotel guest as well. Location wise, it is 10 minutes walk to Legian beach and plenty of souvenirs shops along the street toward the beach and plenty of restaurants nearby. My favorite restaurant is “Mimi seafood restaurant”, located not far from the hotel and easy to walk there. You can find any restaurants at Legian street as it is very busy street and full with night entertainment.
The hotel manager able to assist with joins in tour or rent a car to explore Bali or if you have any other enquires, he is happy to help. The price of rental car is similar with other tour agency or car rental outside. Last time cost around Rp,400,000 for a day rental car including the driver and petrol. You can bargain the rental car price with the friendly manager. Staff in the hotel is friendly and helpful. Enjoy my stay there and no complain about the room or staff, and I received ten percent discount as a returning customer.
