An Afternoon at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach California Mar 08, 2008
I spent a very nice afternoon at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach California. My review on this is mixed:

1. I had a very nice time, no doubt about it; but it was smaller than I anticipated and so I was a *little* let down on number of halls etc. It wasn't bad, and it wasn't tiny - but for the $20.00 price tag, I would have liked to see a bit more.

2. It wasn't too crowded; granted, it was a Monday afternoon, but still it was nice to have time to move around and not be in a huge crowd.

3. They had a some options I didn't take advantage of, so I can't speak to them - a couple different options for movies.

4. It appeared they had a nice little show for the otters and seals that people were really enjoying.

All said, it was a great place to burn a couple of hours and practice taking pictures - but it wasn't a cheap thing to do.

I went here once when I was visiting our port facilities at Long Beach (Maersk). Even got to stay on the Queen Mary docked at the other side of the bay across from the aquarium. I agree - small aquarium but still nice.
