Aquarium of Western Australia (AQWA) Reviews
Expensive for what you get.. Mar 06, 2008
AQWA is the Aquarium of Western Australia, and to be quite honest, it isnt quite value for money. For approx $30 an adult, there just isnt enough to see or do, especially when you find that half the exhibits are jellyfish..
However, AQWA is still worthwhile as the underwater tunnel is an amazing experience & the photographic oppertunities with nurse sharks are endless. That and the touch-pool are probably the most exciting attractions at AQWA & the seal show is enjoyable. Don't go on weekends or school holidays in Perth, you will be BOMBARDED with screaming children. AQWA is next to Hillarys Boat Harbour & Sorrento Quay shopping centre which are worth exploring. |

AQWA is Western Australia’s premier nature attraction featuring...
Australia’s largest aquarium and underwater tunnel World’s largest collection of Western Australian marine life. Beautiful living coral reefs Giant sharks, rays and turtles Playful seals Besides AQWA is in the Hillary's Harbour which offers a variety of restaurants, bars and cafes as well as great accommodation, shopping and other leisure activities. It's basically just another aquarium, but it's nice to see the fishes that are in the water when you swim / snorkel / dive in Western Australia. And they have many other species. Just a nice day out! |
