Aquarel Brugge Reviews
Good food, nice place to sit Aug 24, 2014
Aquarel is located on the Simon Stevinsplein, one of the smaller squares in Bruges. Around there are multiple restaurants/cafés and shops. We took a seat outside, out of the sun, very comfortable (except for an occasional wasp).
We decided to sit there for lunch. I had the goat-cheese croquettes, and my friend chose the spaghetti carbonara. We saw salades in the passing that were so big i doubt i could've eaten that for lunch. They looked good though.
Well back to our meal. The croquettes were really nice. I got bread and a bit of fresh salad with it as well. The carbonara was delicious, but it was a lot (for lunch). For dinner it would've been more then enough as well. Unfortunately they're only open untill 18.00 so no dinner there.
It was really nice of the waiter that when there was a wasp in my glass, i got a new drink.
The location is nice as well, it's a small square but a lot of people passing so there's enough to see, and also the horsecarriages pass once in a while.
