Aqua Bamboo

If you have been to Waikiki a few times you know that there are really nice places to stay and a lot of major dumps! Since I was travelling alone and was planning on being on the beach most of the time - I went for cheap and expected little. This hotel turned out to be a nice surprise. The rooms are tiny but are clean and have all of the basics that a single no-nonsense traveler needs. Wouldnt recommend it to those who like a lush hotel or honeymooners - but for cheap, clean, basic lodging it is a good choice. They also have a fruit, muffin & juice breakfast bar in the mornings - a nice touch. I plan on going back to Waikiki in the next few months and will probably stay here again.

p.s. - be careful for some of the other Waikiki Aqua properties - I hear they are real dumps!
