This morning we ate breakfast at the Movenpick’s fantastic buffet, then headed over to Dive Aqaba, just down the street. We had booked ourselves on an all-day dive trip in the Red Sea. Very exciting! We walked in to Dive Aqaba and I immediately felt welcomed and comfortable. It felt good to be in the familiar surroundings of a dive shop and I was so excited to go diving! After crossing the border from Eilat, Israel into Jordan, we took a quick taxi into the heart of Aqaba.  Aqaba is a beautiful little city right on the Red Sea in the south of Jordan.  We booked a room in a lovely little budget hotel right on the sea, and crashed for an hour or so before it was time to scuba dive!  Mansour from Jordan Frogman swung by and picked us up, and we were off to his shop to try on scuba suits.  After going over the agenda and getting fitted, we hea...

Hello Jordan!!  Wow – we love Jordan.  The people here are so friendly.  Baksheesh (tipping) isn’t as big as it is in Egypt and neither is the begging.  The country is beautiful and a lot cleaner than Egypt also.  We left Nuweiba on Sunday on the ferry.  The ferry cruises up the Gulf of Aqaba past Saudi Arabia and Israel and drops us off in Aqaba, our gateway to Jordan.  Aqaba is a biggish port with lots of shopes – even McDonalds (rarely seen in E...

During Christmas and NYE I spend my time in Jordan. It was my first time there and I loved it and didn't want to leave. I took about 500 pictures, but I wont show them all haha. I'll wright my journal later, first it's time to show some pictures!!
