Apples and Quails Bed and Breakfast

You may not know that British Columbia rivals areas like California for wine production, but it's absolutely true. And that's what makes a trip to the Okanagan wine country so worth it. Easily as good as Napa (in my mind, anyway), the Okanagan is ripe with vineyards and wineries... all offering up tastings of their delicious creations.

But if you're going to make the (approx.) 6 hour drive to the region from Vancouver, then you'll need a place to stay when you get there...

With gorgeous rooms, a hot tub, stunning (homemade) food, and every whim or fancy anticipated, Apples and Quails in Summerland is well worth seeking out as accommodation in BC's wine region.

Our hosts were just so friendly... offering to make restaurant reservations on our behalf, planning out winery tour maps with us, sharing a bottle of vino, and imparting their local (and wine) knowledge freely. They also served up delicious breakfasts and evening snacks (including homemade lemon scones, cinnamon buns, and cookies).

Add to this that the fabulous rooms themselves afforded gorgeous views of the valley. Every detail was met, including an emergency kit in the bathroom cabinet, with spare toothbrushes and shavers, etc!

There just wasn't a single thing about staying at Apples and Quails we would have changed (including the price)... so if you're planning a trip to the Okanagan, give them a call and pray they have a room free! You won't be disappointed.
