The drive from Kyle of Lochalsch to Applecross is quite the white knuckle ride, it is the highest road in the United Kingdom it snakes it's was through the hills, it is pretty narrow most of the way, with a couple of places with a 'view' over the side.  Overtaking or allowing oncoming vehicles to get by is facillitated by use of 'passing places' which punctuate the road.  The higher I drove up into the mist, the more the visibility decreased eventually becoming almost non-existant, ...

The Scotish history is covered with war stories. There have been a lot of stories of mascares and wars which is hard to believe happen in such a beautiful place. There are so many sheer mountains leading straight into a loch (lake). I have taken so many terrific landscape shots.
