We stayed at this cottage-style resort for two nights in November, '07, when we visited Yosemite National Park. It is located in Fish Camp, CA, which is about 30 minutes drive from Oakhurst, and two miles south of the south gate of Yosemite National Park.

Since we had a friend staying with us, we booked a two-room suite. All the rooms at Apple Tree Inn are in cottages that are nestled among acres of woods. Our room was clean and spacious, very cozy with a fire place which kept us warm throughout the chilly nights. The interior decor is VERY flowery (a bit too much for my taste), nevertheless we didn't mind it so much and enjoyed staying there.

The complementary continental breakfast is served in the dining hall every morning. It is a simple fare consisting of an assortment of bagels, toasts, muffins, and cereal, with coffee, tea, and juice. There were a bunch of "chilled" hard-boiled eggs, too. It was nothing special, but the price was right, and it was enough food for us to get going for the day. For those who want more hearty meals, Tenaya Lodge is right next door (it takes you only about five minutes on foot), where they have full-service restaurants.

The staff at the reception was very friendly and helpful. Overall, we enjoyed staying at Apple Tree Inn. The price is much more affordable than at the neighboring Tenaya, and to be honest, we liked our room at Apple Tree Inn as much (if not more) as the one at Tenaya. We'd love to stay there again!
