As many times as I've heard praise sung of the Appalachian Trail, it had never ranked high on my list of things to do.  I thought of the Parthanon, the Pyramids and Paris at night but never what lies right up the road from home.Last month I was recovering from the loss of two loved ones as well as trouble at work and home... I just needed to get away from the city to get my head right.  I called up a friend in Pennsylvania and asked him to guide me away from city lights for a while....
