Very basic, but for the price it'll do Jun 27, 2009
Saying the average is about €42, well I paid nearer €30 and it was only a few days before I was travelling,so no complaints about price.

Who ever thinks it's a 3* hotel must be on drugs. Not the easiest to find when you hit the square, and I had to wander about until I sussed it. Close to the Metaxourgio metro station right enough once you get your bearings.Area round about it is pretty shabby, but not overly intimidating,I managed to bounce about it in the early hours without any fear.

Small reception desk, with pretty unattantive staff and not the greatest decor in the world. Rooms at the back fairly dull and room consisted of bed, dresser and telly ( CNN and Greek shopping channels available) that had all seen better days.Toilet with shower was small. About as clean as you can get stuff that ancient, but not a place you would ant to spend time in, so going out is your best option.

There was a lot of construction work going on round about when I was there which didn't add anything to the ambiance. A small bar in the hotel but not up to much.

Not going to knock the place that badly. It was warm, dry and had a place to sleep. Not the sort of place to take your partner if you want to impress them, but would suit people travelling on a budget as two of you can stay for just €40.

Excellent cheap cafe on the way up to Omonia
