Apiti Vacation Guide
Apiti means “gorge” in Maori (te native language of New Zealand) –which is an apt description as there are heaps of high hills and near Apiti. It is also not far from the Manawatu Gorge one of the main connecting roads between the east and west of New Zealand's North Island.
Apiti is 40 kilometres north of the nearest town of Feilding and and about 450 metres above sea level.
