The hotel is in the Grassmarket area, so you're really close to a lot of pubs and restaurants. I can recommend The White Hart Inn, which is opposite the hotel.
The hotel has a couple of bars and a couple of restaurants/cafes. The fifth floor has a good restaurant, with an amazing view of Edinburgh Castle. Make sure you take breakfast early, to avoid having to queue. Everything was clean and presentable. I got a good rate on Expedia for booking three nights, which worked out pretty well for two people. There's a gym and spa of sorts. There appeared to be free Wi-fi as well, but it didn't appear to be working when I was there, not that I spent much time in the hotel, apart from sleeping. |
