The Apache Motel in Moab, Utah Jul 17, 2009
This motel is family owned and run and is recognized as a NATIONAL HISTORIC PROPERTY by the National Register of Historic Places and the Utah Historical Society.
It may look a little beat up but for the location and price, it is hard to beat. The rooms are clean, safe and convenient for a short stay. The funny thing is that actor John Wayne stayed here for months at a tim during film shoots. The staff was nice and welcoming. I don't have anything bad to say.

The Apache is your typical locally run motel. It's claim to fame is that John Wayne stayed there during filming of one of his movies. The staff was very nice. We stayed there during one of the busiest weekends- the Moab Art festival. My husband ...read entire review at TravelPost.com
