First stop today was Pan de Azúcar national park. The park had a nice beach and a cacterium, which we stopped to see. There are also some pretty crazy rock formations in the park. After the park we ate lunch at a truck stop in the middle of nowhere. The food was good, and best of all, cheap! Ok well the locals we met in San pedro laughed when we said we were on our way to Antofagasta and the guidebooks said most travellers avoid it but we went ahead anyway and we're glad we did. We actually like it! It is the 2nd biggest city in Chile and has given us time to just chill and we spent time shopping, walked down to the port and even managed to watch pirates of the carribean (in English not a dubbed spanish version!!)
