Antique Thai Cuisine San Diego Reviews
Affordable Thai cuisine in a luxurious setting in Point Loma Jul 27, 2010
My favorite Thai place in Point Loma, just north of downtown San Diego.
I'm not sure why it's called "Antique" unless they maybe mean like "classic" or something, but it's really good and really nicely decorated inside.
You wouldn't guess from the strip mall exterior and "4.95 Lunch Special" banners that it's going to be a beautiful restaurant inside, but it is, with fabrics and artwork from around Thailand and a nice staff to take care of you.
The lunch specials are the real draw - You choose the dish, all the classics and a couple more, what's in it (vegetables, tofu, mock meats, real meats) and it comes as a platter with a little salad, soup, eggrolls and other things. The prices range from $4.95 for the vegetable versions to around $6.95 for shrimp.
There's also the usual giant menu of hundreds items with myriad variations to choose from, and Thai drinks and desserts.
