Antique Power Days Salem Reviews
Antique Power Apr 21, 2010
Every year, the first weekend after Labor Day, Antique Power Days overtakes the Marion County Fairgrounds in Salem, Illinois. It celebrates antique tractors and equipment, drawing enthusiasts from the area, as well as states around. Each year, a different tractor make is featured. The tractors are parked according to make on the fairgrounds. That way Farmalls don't mix with John Deeres. ;) In addition to the antique tractors, a highlight of Antique Power Days is the thrashing machine demonstration.
The tractors are parked according to make on the fairgrounds. A couple parades of power are held to showcase the tractors through the grandstand. And, tractor pulls are also held. During the event, a flea market is set up, as well as an antique tractor toy show.
An added bonus of Antique Power Days is the food. Amongst the vendors, every year, a local man sets up, selling kettle corn popped right there. It is delicious, and I look forward to it every year.
