This restaurant specialised in Swabian food, which means rich and fattening and all the kind of stuff that we're not supposed to eat nowadays. We had roast pork in a pastry case, and in common with a lot of the dishes it was accompanied by spatzle, which are like noodles made of dough. It was all excellently done, and just what we needed after a hard day footslogging. Portions were generous, and inevitably, given the ingredients, filling. Other meals that we saw being served up looked equally appetizing. There was a very agreeable rather old-fashioned air to the place, and the service was efficient, attentive and charming. I look forward to returning one day.
