Bring quite a bit of cash.
Try to wear pants and shoes the whole time, avoid shorts and sandles no matter how hot. Talk to the people. Walk around the markets. Watch for pickpocketers, especially on the bus. Taxies are abundet, use them when possible. Gallo is the best beer in Guatemala. Lean about the history of Antigua, then you will appreciate it more. |

He was good and let me stay after, so I tipped him the equivalent of $3. Got back to Antigua to see the end of one of the many Semana Santa parades through town. I believe they have one every Friday the month before Easter. Guys dressed in purple KKK outfits… Vulcan Pacaya |

This is my fifth day here and thanks to the tips from Ricardo I will grab a very, very cheap flight out of here two weeks from now to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and from there bus back to Texas. But that means I get fourteen days in Guatemala and after the hostel I just found… Finally- 'Latin' America |
