Ansell's Thatchwalk Reviews - Negril

Stayed here in January.  We chose the cheapest cabins which were $US50 per night and consisted of a wooden cabin with shuttered windows (no glass), a double bed, a ceiling fan and light and a bathroom with sink , toilet and shower with cold water taps only.  For $US 10 per night more we could have had the cabins with kitchenette, TV and aircon.  It is right on the beach, real people work there and stay there unlike the 'all in one' resorts where the tourist never leaves the compound and fails to meet the real Jamaicans who are mostly very poor.

Remember the world comes to your beach at Negril.  Food, fruit, drinks, patties, cigarettes, craft and offers to take care of you, personally will happen.  Ronting is the security man and though he is sometimes slow to spot a nusiance, he will send them packing if you don't want them pestering you.
