Annies Homestay Batu Ferringhi Reviews
Lovely Homestay Nov 16, 2012
- Location at the crown of a small hill straight up the road from the main trunk road that runs through Batu Ferrenghi, five or ten minutes from main drag of eateries, although there were some fab shops(7/11 and a row of small food stalls) inc. the Golden River eatery(see review) only ¾ mins walk down the hill. Very quite residential area made you feel like you were getting away from all the noise in the main town. We had read good reviews about Annies but had had to wait for one night (we spent in Ferrenghi Hotel reviewed) as she is so popular and deservedly so. We phoned ahead and were greeted by friendly Annie. She even said we could visit the day before check in to sort out our room, which we are glad we did. As this served to secure our phone booking.
We booked a double bed room for 3 nights which cost us 80Rm per night. Now the set up Annie has appears to be her own property with the next door adjoining property as well. There is a very large Ensuite double room in her house and the house next door 8 rooms. We were in room no.8 and shared a very large and clean bathroom with three other rooms of which only two were occupied (I think there are some Ensuite there too with at least one balcony room). The Bathroom was walk in with Western WC, and power shower, with a shower curtain between .Clean towels and a large airy room with aircon and fan made it complete. The bed was also clean and comfortable. Point to note the price also includes a basic breakfast of toast, jam and a small bit of fruit. Tea or coffee. There is a large communal sitting area downstairs with decently large TV and I think some selection of videos, but there is also Fox movies so you may not need the DVDs.
