Anne Ruby Falls Reviews
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() North Georgia Waterfall Apr 23, 2008
At the end of an up hill, yet short, paved hike you will find a double waterfall. Curtis creek feeds a 153 foot fall and York creek drives the 50 foot fall that are side by side. There is plenty of scenic nature and lots of water to enjoy, photography or just listen to as you hike to the top. The grand finale is well worth the 3.00USD entrance fee.
The falls are located in the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forests. Which explains why my GPS did not register the location - it's not a 'point of interest'. I suggest ask for directions in town on how to get to the Falls. It's easy to find and well marked once you get on the right road. The drive is twists and turns, like all of North Georgia and the Carolinas. We tagged this onto a day trip to Helen, GA and for me was the highlight of the day. And, lastly, this is a forest, expect wildlife. My girlfriends 11 year old son that was with us was fascinated by a black snake just a few feet off the trail. He was harmless - don't worry. |
