Be aware of the danger Jan 31, 2017
Should you decide to trek the Annapurna Circuit it is advisable never to walk alone as so many things can happen. Here i have listed just a few of them.

Trekking to ABC (Annapurna Base Camp) you may cross over sheets of ice that you may think are safe but when the better weather comes around you may fall straight through the ice and find yourself enclosed by ice and no way to get out.

While trekking you may injure yourself, break a leg, sprain an ankle so it is always best to trek in pairs so your partner can go for help.

In some areas the path has been carved out of the rock face and can be very slippery in the rain. In fact i once slipped while taking a photo and just managed to hang on to some rocks before getting back on my feet.

Another problem are avalanches during the rainy season. I have come across several places where avalanches have swept away the trail, and i had to scramble across the debris, which in itself is extremely dangerous.
