Today we have to pack up and leave.
We had such a good time here and I’m not looking forward to going back to work.
It will be nice to get back home and sleep in our own bed again, and see our
kitty who I’m sure is missing us very much!
After getting everything packed and
in the car, it was time to say goodbye and head back to the dreaded town of Florence. The only good
thing this time is we can leave the rental car at the train station and the…

After
heading Washington yesterday I want to go to a
smaller capital this morning - hence I take the short drive to get to the
capital of the neighbouring state of Maryland
- Annapolis. It
is one of the oldest capitals in all of the US and supposedly a very nice
little old town. And I have found that so many of the old towns in this part of
the US have no reason to envy the environment in most of European towns.
I get out
there after about ½ an hour’s drive to get ther…

Not sure how I didn't fall asleep during the car ride from
the airport in Baltimore to our home in Annapolis, maybe all this
talk of Tropical Storm Hanna hitting us tomorrow!
Mom & Wes dropped us off at the house and we dropped the luggage just
inside the front door. Unpacking can happen tomorrow!Of course the first thing we did was get greeted by our
kitty Raven, who obviously missed us very much!! All the meowing and purring
and rubbing on us was a very much needed welcome home! …

I spent all day Friday running around my mom's house, packing, getting things together, making sure I had everything that I needed. I tend to forget things and I really didn't want to do that this time around. So the day was spent washing clothes and packing. My brother and I got picked up by my dad, (MarksReynolds on here) after he got off work and away we went. Got to his house and grabbed more stuff to shove into my luggage. Lena, my stepmother, and I are currently reading the same book se…

Very fascinating stuff in this little Navy-soaked waterside town. If there was a building in the area not built before the revolution then I didn't see it. Picturesque in all the "homey-curl up with a good book-cup o'joe at the corner shop-hey hows your folks" kind of ways. The day started out with a quick pit stop at the barracks to change and pound on Rod's door...apparently he appreciated the gesture cause he still managed to throw on some pants and ad…

We have been planning to meet up with Mark (marksreynolds) and Lena (bwitch16) again for a while. We live relatively close together so we decided to meet on their turf this time. The renaissance fest was the perfect opportunity. The weather was on our side as well. A beautiful 85 degrees. The drive out to Annapolis went by quickly. Though I won't mention standing in traffic for 45 minutes just to get to the parking lot. Oops, I just did. ;) Mark met us at the gate after we stood in line to ge…

State and spend the night where on
the next day we would drive straight to Washington
D.C. and sleep in Annapolis

Well, I really can't write about all these other places in the world without promoting MY fine state can I?
Baltimore: "Charm City' is a secret gem of a place to visit, and to live. It was crap in the 1970's, but has risen above to become a great destination.
Since I fly, I'll show you much of the state from the air AND the ground. Enjoy.
Travelogue in-progess.
