Anna Cafe Budapest Reviews
great for a break or even more May 22, 2015
This homey feeling cafe is located smack in the middle of the main shopping street of the Pest area, which is located near the most famous square, Vörösmarty Tér.
Equipped with a very large terrace which is ideal for sunny weather, it also has a large interior with loads of space for many hungry people and while you see the many waiters and waitresses running from one table to another, they always have a smile on their face.
Besides a large selection of hot and cold beverages, you can order some small snacks as well going from breakfast and dishes with egg in the morning, to sandwiches and salads for lunch and even ice cream, pancakes or Hungarian cakes for dessert …. what more do you want ???
I must admit that it was really tough choosing the right one, but in the end we went for the typical Hungarian cakes, after all, we are in the country, why not taste the local specialities and together with a pot of tea, we were more than happy campers for a while.

The perfect spot for people watching Sep 02, 2008
Anna Cafe, at the start of pedestrian Vaci Utca, is a nice place to sit down for a coffee or tea in summer and have lunch in the open air.
They have a nice selection of cakes, salads, pastries and sandwiches, which might be slightly more expensive than in other places, but you get to sit outside on a terrace and watch the world go by.
We had the club sandwich and the ham and cheese sandwich, which came very well presented in a basket, and included a little bowl of chopped tomato and mozarella and a bit of lettuce and slices of pale yellow paprika.
Tea came in a pot, which means you get more than 1 cup.
Service is fast and friendly and even though we hit a bit of a language barrier, we managed to explain ourselves and got exactly what we ordered.
Bathrooms are downstairs and are shared with the Burger King next door. The reason I even mention the bathrooms is because I found them not only clean and functioning, but also because I loved the tiles they used on the walls and floor. But that's just me ofcourse.
There is also another Anna Cafe at the end of Vaci Utca, near the Nagycsarnok Market.
