Our spacious Villa May 24, 2013
When were we looking for a hotel/ villa for our Bali trip, we had the following things in mind:

1. location - must be away from the maddening crowd of Kuta surfers/ party crazed people;

2. we wanted to be near nature;

3. it was meant to be a romantic escapade, somewhere perfect for honeymooners.

So we decided on Aniniraka Resort & Spa. Reviews were quite good and its not expensive unlike the very known resorts.

Aniniraka Resort & Spa is located in Ubud, about 10 minutes drive to Ubud Village (Market). Its a few doors away to the famous Don Antonio Blanco Art Gallery.

We got a Deluxe Villa. We were practically the only ones at the Deluxe Villa. There are smaller villas at another section of the Resort's grounds. Our villa opens up to the rice fields. Unfortunately, the rice fields seems a little too dry up cos of the hot weather.

The thing i like most about this resort - the free shuttle service. The guy will drop you off at Ubud Market or anywhere else near enough & you can call them up to pick you back home doesnt matter what time (so long as not beyond 10.30 - we only found out 1 night when we called them at 11 pm lol!) but as grumpy as the driver was he still came to pick us up which is fantastic I think since we are always getting ribbed off taking taxis in Indonesia.

The Villa has a huge bathroom - a shower area, a big tub (looks like a pool or pond lol!), a big poster bed which I absolutely loved, a television, a kitchen, a mini-fridge, dining table.

Breakfast spread was reasonable, nothing really special but good enough. We didnt try the spa or the tour facility at the resort as it was expensive.
