Everything was Wonderful except for the Aircon! Mar 29, 2014
Stayed here for 3 nights without any major problems. Except for on the last 2 nights, the aircon was faulty. Although it was on 16 deg C, it was just like blowing fan. Called the room service, and the staff brought a portable air cooler to my room to use temporarily.

Great location--about a fifteen minute walk (or five minute tuktuk ride) to Old Market / Pub Street / Night Market, which was just the right distance for someone like me who prefers to stay just outside the tumultuously touristy areas.

The staff was incredibly helpful arranging my airport pickup (free!), Angkor tours (~$30 for full-day tuktuk, including sunrise but excluding Angkor entrance fees), and Vietnam visa preparations ($70 for 3-day delivery, $80 for 2-day, $90 for 1-day). Some people behind the desk speak better English than others--but the occasional language barrier presented no problems.

Had no complaints about the room itself. Clean, comfortable, and wifi'd (some floors more than others). I didn't confine myself in my room too long as I was out and about most of the time--so I can't really complain about the lack of swimming pools, balconies, or common areas. Free breakfast was fine.

Great Hotel for the Money Dec 05, 2010
As the title say, this is a great hotel for the money you pay ($20/night with free breakfast).

The place looks great from the outside and especially in pictures. However, while staying there I learned that the hotel opened on Valentine's Day this year which was a bit shocking. Now, don't get me wrong the hotel is super okay for the $$$ but when your bathroom door doesn't close after less than a year of use then I do start wondering. Besides the bathroom door not closing (not even with the little locker thingy) the furniture seemed pretty wonky too - drawers would not open without force or they'll make noise because of the lil encased fridge.

Despite the hot weather I still enjoy my hot, long showers. Well, let me tell you this - I took 3-minute showers while staying here and this was due to the lack of hot water. First night, I was the 2nd one to jump in the shower and as soon as I got in I got out. I needed to wait for the water to warm up again even though my friend was in the shower for a max of 10 mins. This experience reminded me of the times I'd wake late and had to take an amazingly fast shower before going to's NOT fun.

Moving on to the free breakfast - it was good and super fast if needed.

The hotel does offer free internet in the bar area but I haven't seen any guest leaving the computer happy. The internet connection is spotty at best; however, there are plenty of internet cafes nearby at $0.75/hr.

Oh, before I forget the bed is okay BUT the pillows are awful - hard and big so the 1st night I slept without a pillow and the 2nd night I opted for a folded towel.

Lastly, the location is great - you're one block away from the main street and 10 min walk from the happening place (the Pub street)
Nice bed - too bad the pillows are…

Angkor Pearl Hotel Oct 20, 2010
We stayed here for 4D3N which is just simply comfortable hotel. Nice location which only 15mins walked to city night market, it's takes half an hour to Angkor by tuk tuk. Also with the airport transfer from to the hotel. It's cost USD 25/night and with free and nice breakfast;) Very helpful and friendly hotel staffs. The room was clean and cosy. There's free internet access at the hotel lobby as well.
