**I am in the middle of traveling at the moment and will not be able to be active on Travbuddy until around July 1st. Please do not be offended if I do not respond to your smiles or comments. I wish everyone beautiful adventures wherever you are in this glorious world!**
"The difference between a tourist and a traveler is that a tourist seeks only comfort while a traveler seeks discovery. They take more risks. They get pleasure in overcoming difficulties and discomforts, and they seek out the people."--Lea Lane. I personally live by this quote. My adventure filled life is satiated only by more experience and more knowledge. To me, my country is the world! My undying love affair with travel is due to the sheer intrigue of untrodden roads, different cultures, and life-changing encounters.

However, as we travelers are acutely aware of, plans always change, like they did in this case. Part of the fun of traveling though is being open to these changes and seeing where they will lead you.

Originally, I was invited to visit Mexico City with 2 lovely Travladies. However, the night before I was to depart, I came down with a the flu and sadly could not join them. Not wanting to pass up the opportunity to practique mi espaƱol, walk in Frida Kahlo's steps, climb some pyramids, and shop in the local markets; I rescheduled the trip by myself for a month later. Except the only time I was ever alone on the trip was when I was sleeping!

When one has traveled the world places that are familiar tend to become unappealing. I thought Myrtle Beach, a small beachtown in South Carolina, had become like that to me. But, sometimes we travelers need an escape from the exciting locations, some quiet time to reflect on our good fortune, and most importantly a little peace...
