Andaman Camp and Cruise Travel Reviews

Mar 06, 2007

With only 5 nights in Ao Nang time was of the essence, but Elizabeth and Sun (Andaman Camps and Cruises) were fantastic.

They responded speedily via email to our queries prior to the holiday, and at short notice they arranged a realistic itinerary of activities to give us a taste of the area. Activities included kayaking, island hopping (on the longtail boat), a Thai cookery demo and a visit to the local food market in Krabi. A mid morning snack of different fruits, and lunches made by Sun, gave us a chance to try some local dishes but they were also tailored according to our taste.

A huge advantage to going with Elizabeth and Sun was that there was no language barrier; Elizabeth is originally from Australia.

A personal service; offering flexibility in both the type and pace of activities. We were given the opportunity to see areas of Thailand that, as tourists, we would not normally have seen, and the huge breadth of local knowledge was both interesting and useful (for example, in recommending a local masseuse).

Although there were only two of us, they have the facility for much larger groups which would obviously reduce the cost. However, for everything we got to experience I feel we were cheating them on price! The cost included both food and drink as was all snorkelling equipment/kayaking/travel costs etc.

I would urge anybody looking to have a holiday experience, rather than remaining beach bound, to go for at least one trip with Elizabeth and Sun. Ao Nang is a beautiful area and Andaman Camp and Cruise really do it justice in their tours.
