All you need to know about the early history of Turkey. Apr 01, 2012
Built in a converted Ottoman era caravanerserai and Bazzar. The Museum takes you from the earliest periods of Turkish history with some fantastic exhibits. Not too big so that it becomes boring. Well worth an hour or two on a visit to Ankara. Close to Ankara castle in the Atpazarı district of Ankara. Its vast cache of artefacts is laid out in chronological order, clockwise from the entrance, with large stone reliefs dating from the Hittite and Phrygian periods in the central chamber. Most exhibits are clearly labelled in English and German.

Anatolian Civilizations Museum Apr 03, 2011
This fascinating museum contains over 200,000 historic pieces of which only a fraction can be displayed at one time. Exhibits include Early Bronze Age statues and Neolithic wall paintings.

A wonderful museum about all the old civilizations of Minor Asia where you can find a very big collection of archeological finds from VII millenium a.D.One of the best place to visit if you go to Ankara and you like the archeology.
