Amorita Resort Bohol
Amorita Resort Bohol Reviews
Luxurious accomodations on Panglao Island Mar 07, 2009
We had a three day excursion on our Philippines trip and my wife wanted to visit the Island of Bohol to see the Chocolate Hills. After reading the hotel reviews we decided to splurge and stay at the Amorita. Without a doubt this was the nicest hotel we've ever stayed at, It's simply beautiful, the entire resort has less than 30 rooms so you never feel crowded. It's located right on a cliff off Alona Beach.
We decided to stay in one of the 8 garden view villas that are 120 sq meters. Each villa has its own private plunge pool. The bathroom is open with an outside shower. While we loved the novelty of this we liked it less and less as our stay went on. You have to be on the lookout for critters on those night time visits to the toilet! The hotel has one restaurant which is surprisingly affordable considering this is an expensive resort. My wife and I usually try to skip hotel restaurants and eat in town to save money but we ate here on several occasions and found the food excellent. The hotel staff was very courteous and attentive, the rooms were clean and the grounds well manicured. While we did see the chocolate hills the highlight of our trip was snorkeling off Balicasag Island, about 30mins by boat from the Amorita - Don't miss this. If I had to do it all over again I would definitely spend a whole day there. If you don't mind spending some money then I definitely recommend the Amorita. It's ideal for Honeymooners! |
