Las Vegas, Nevada, USA -› Henderson, Nevada, USA -› ...
(UNDER CONSTRUCTION)
I primarily took this trip to visit with friends in Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Tucson and hike and camp in the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. I rented a car from McCarran Int'l Airport in Vegas. I left with a PT Cruiser in tow on May 13, 2008 and returned to Vegas on May 28, 2008. I drove approximately 2,400 miles on my roundtrip.

When you visit The Joshua Tree, you must go over the old Route 66! Most people take the highway 40 now, but parts of the old and famous route 66 still excist and our journey went over that old road. When the Route 66 was replaced, it also meant the end of a few villages which became ghost towns. The gas stations and sleeping places were not necessary any more, and some villages disappeared.
