I walked into the Lobby, the a/c was poor, but the staff was welcoming. A cool towel was provided as well as a glass of cold juice and a bottle was water. Check in was a breeze, with the paperwork being brought to me rather than me standing at the desk trying to fill it out with a over stuffed purse on my shoulder and a suitcase in my hand.

The room was BEAUTIFUL, with what i would call a Partial Ocean View, but yet it was still a wonderful site to wake up to every morning. The single air-conditioning unit was mediocre. the unit would shut off when you took your room key out of the power slot, leaving it so you come back to a hot and musty room, and then you would have to wait for it to cool down before it was comfortable. I mentioned this to the housekeeping staff and they left their card in the slot so that my room was always cool when i returned. Problem solved without any friction.

The bed, King-Size... the sheet were fresh and soft and clean. The pillows were a little soft for my taste and the mattress a little hard. but in their defense, i will forever compare hotel/ resort beds and pillows to the quality of the Westin Diplomat and The W of Miami, Florida. Not really a fair comparison.

The bathroom, very spacious and elegant could use a little more ventilation and Air-conditioning, but this WAS the first time in my 3week visit to the Philippines that i had Hot Water and a reliable water pressure. I was NOT complaining. HOWEVER, for about 2hours, there was no water in the entire resort. the front of the house staff was very apologetic and the appropriate compensation was applied to my bill.

The Restaurant...OMG the restaurant. I HAPPILY had breakfast and dinner there every morning and night i was in Boracay. The Calamari Lemon Zest Salad, the last night, i didn't even have to order it, the staff just brought it to the table. :-)It was like a summers day with a cool sea breeze in my mouth. I savored every bite and was so sad whenever i was done.

The Staff remembered my name the entire stay. Very heart warming and comforting. Always cheerful, and maybe i didn't understand the culture, but they seemed overly surprised whenever i tipped them. The manager herself came out to say goodbye when i checked out. the front of the house staff lined up to wave good bye as the very well orchestrated shuttled service provided by the resort escorted me to the airport doors.

I can't wait for next year when i can go back! :-)

Superb Experience in Boracay! Jun 12, 2011
Ambassador in Paradise is a 5 star hotel situated in Station 1 in Boracay.

This is the best place I’ve ever stayed in Boracay! I love the room cuz it has a cool balcony where you can have a perfect view of the resort, the sun and if you want to people watch also! I like the huge, tidy bath room, very elgant with jaccuzzi and lcd tv where you can spend hours to relax if you had enough sun outside! Great furnishings and interior design! I love the healthy palm trees in front which makes the resort the most shady and coolest area in the place.

The service was great too! They will provide you a mobile phone so you could ring the reception whenever you need anything. The restaurant/bar beside the beach is superb! Food are really great, staff are so friendly and playful, that my friend would willingly pay for a drink he didn’t order just to save a crew for paying some ordered drink for some mishaps. =)

I can say it’s a lil bit over priced but my experience was really great! It did not only meet but exceeded my expectations! Will surely come back! (“,)

Done Hotel hopping, seen quite a lot of hotels in station 1 and 2. tried 3 hotels

we got to spend one night in the hotel, had a suite (casita 2), sea view & pool view

amazing bathroom with Jacuzzi, they have a shady beach, a lot of coconut trees.

they will give you a mobile phone to use instead of the land line so whenever you need something they come serve you.

i do not know how they have done it, but it is not as hot as other hotels, you go outdoor to the bar or beach and it is kinda cool.

They had another very good room types, the only flow is that some of them were located in a 4 story building, not the best thing for senior people.

but they do not have a Spa, if you want a massage, you can ask the reception and they will arrange for it, coordinating with one of the ladies offering their service by the beach, they are nice people. i have had an in-room Swedish massage and it was OK.

enjoy :)
