Amadeus Music Bar Tampere Reviews
Friendly rock bar for the 'alternative crowd' Apr 08, 2010
Amadeus is a great little bar, and when I say little, it is diddy but I think that contributes to a great atmosphere. One half of the floor is actually a raised stage area where they have live local bands perform. The music is heavy rock and metal depending on what time of the day and possibly which bar staff are working at that moment in time. (It was actually more mainstream rock on Saturday night, probably to cater to a wider audience but during the week we were treated to death metal!)
The decor is simple and understated, rock icons, memorabilia and guitars adorn the walls, long wooden benches with throws and cushions for a laid-back homely feel. The huge piano design covering the ceiling is awesome. I didn't notice it first time I was in here! Must have been too excited/sidetracked/drunk delete as applicable. Hehehe.
The prices are pretty much standard for bars here in Finland: expensive! Avoid bottles and fancy cocktails at all costs but the Finnish lager on tap is reasonable at around €3.50 - €4.00 a pint.
It was a great place to mingle with the oh so friendly locals. :D Highly recommended. Not just for metalheads!
