Frankfurt - beer by the river May 19, 2008
If you find yourself with some hours to spare in Frankfurt on a sunny day I suggest taking a train to the small town of Hochst (really more like a suburb of Frankfurt)There is an old castle, marketplace and in the market place a few pubs with tables outside in summer. Afterwards it is a 5 minute walk to the River Main and there are plenty of places to sit plus a nice park where you can watch the boats go by.

- Directions: Take S bahn from Frankfurt main station (Hauptbahnhof) to Hochst, which takes about 15 mins maximum. Then just walk towards the river and you should find it.
