So much potential, so little care! Oct 10, 2011
I travelled down with a friend and booked 2 rooms up at Ultimo. A beautiful location with so much potential. Unfortunately, I would not recommend staying here until the management changes (which I was told is happening after we complained, but didn't help us much).

We arrived late at night in pitch black, no lights on (fortunately I had a touch in the car to walk up the rough steps). After getting into the one room instead of two we found a cat sleeping on the bed and another one followed us into the room – the door as wide open. So after about 10 minutes of trying to get to cats out of the room, we had to make the beds after a long drive from Sydney.

Here's where it went really bad, ok we are friends and can share but we were not quite prepared for the next bit – nice bathroom, but the door was off the track, sitting against the wall. Not possible to go to the toilet or take a shower in private. Would it be too much to provide some toilet paper?

A nice thing in alpine climates is a working heater – not here unfortunately. Also the first place not to provide a bin in the room.

So basically - stay away, until it is managed by someone with the slightest bit of basic care for their guests.
