With the Archeon Theme Park and Avifauna Bird Park, Alphen aan den Rijn has two internationally known attractions within its borders.
In the Archeon, there are 43 buildings, farms and huts from the Prehistoric Period, the Roman Period and the Middle Ages. In the high-season, various themed weekends take place with many attractions and often there are demonstrations by foreign groups.
The Avifauna Bird Park houses unusual birds from all over the world. The spectacular bird demonstrations attract many visitors each year.
