Along the coastline - San Francisco - TravBuddy

California is gorgeous!
If you go, make sure you have at least 3 weeks holiday so you can explore the coastline!
Fly into San Francisco and hire a car! When in San Francisco you have to explore the town especially on a hot day when you can do anything, go to china town.
The hills are a killer but it so worth the sights. Go on a tour of alcatraz island and there is a boat ride which takes you right around the harbour and under the golden gate bridge, which lights up at night and is absolutely gorgeous!

I went with my family all along the californian coastline right down to San Diego, it seemed like it took forever but was well worth the trip.
We went from San Francisco to Santa cruz, Santa barbara, los angeles and around orange county down to San Diego. We did one day park the car up and take a bus over into Mexico which I must say was a wierd experience, just be careful of pickpockets honestly!

If that wasnt enough - we then drove hours and hours to Nevada to Las Vegas which oh my god was brilliant, although I was not old enough to gamble was still fun. The shopping there is expensive, but if you have the money then why not, the restaurants are great too and the hotels are amazing. You have to see the pirate show at night outside the treasure island hotel & casino. outside the mirage hotel there is an erupting volcano!
