Average Hotel for a High Price Feb 29, 2012
This was for my recent trip to Stuttgart for a attending a show at Messe Stuttgart .
We were booked into the All Season by our partner Company so didnt have a clue as to the location or quality of the hotel before we checked into it .Its a relatively large hotel with about 156 rooms .
First and foremost is the location . Even though it is not that far from the city centre .. about 15 minutes by taxi .. but it feels as being in a secluded area of Stuttgart .It is in the middle of a residential area .. with actually nothing close to it . I had wanted to buy a lighter .. but could not find any place to buy it .. till a kind girl working at the Mineral Bath close by gave it to me !!! So if you want to be waking distance from the city centre ... this is definitely not the place to stay .
Its a 3 Star hotel but the price was extremely steep at this time .. most hotels we were told jack up there prices three to four times when ever there is an expo happening at Messe Stuttgart .
Rooms are average sized , an LCD screen and an average sized functional bathroom with a hot tub & shower .
It has one restaurant where they used to serve the buffet breakfast which was nice & typically German .. sausages , bacon , scrambled eggs , cold meats , chicken nuggets , breads , fruit and yogurt . The hotel also has a lobby bar also serving snacks .
There is a Mineral Bath very close to the hotel with a Cafe , Swimming pool & spa . The good thing is that the tram statioin is a 1 minute walk so its quite easy to reach any part of Stuttgart taking the trams .
The Check-In & Check out was quick and simple . The staff at the hotel is friendly , helpful & smiling which was quite nice .
I guess if they price the hotel reasonably , its a nice clean hotel to stay in if one doesn't want to pay for the more expensive ones near the city centre .
