All Seasons (Ibis Style) Hotel Yogyakarta Reviews
Young and Hip Hotel Oct 02, 2012
The All Seasons (an Ibis style) hotel is a four-star hotel located on the corner of Jl Dagen and I can't remember what the other street name was!
The hotel is catered to the young traveler, as evident from its young staff, who speak good english by the way, to its interior. It consists of 6 floors, with the 7th located on the rooftop, which houses the swimming pool and Sky Bar.
I stayed in a twin room and the bed was really comfortable. The air conditioning worked great too and the bathroom was clean. It's a pretty young hotel itself, so there were no dated or old furniture.
A 5 min walk takes you to Malioboro street, the whole stretch covered with souvenir stalls and shops selling most all things batik. You can choose to take a "beca" there, however, be prepared as the beca rider will try to sell you a trip to Kraton, where batik wholesale stores are found, and where you can supposedly purchase quality batik at factory prices. They also sell silver apparently. Yes, if you choose to go there, the rider will likely take you to the store where he receives commission from. They're not pushy, but will try their best to encourage you. All for the price of IDR10k, the same price it costs to give you a ride to Malioboro. :)
There is a resto specialising in Indo-Chinese food, slightly pricier but not by much, located across the street from the lobby. On your walk to Malioboro, you will find a few restos or warongs on your left, that serve local Indonesian food. They are basic but clean and the food isn't too bad either.
A 3-nite stay for two set us back by USD150. I'd recommend it!!
