Alexandra Loen Hotel Stryn

Have worked in Norway for a while and stayed at a number of hotels in the country I can honestly say that this was the best hotel that I have seen in the country. It is fairly expensive (Around 200 a person) but it luxurious. It is located near Geiranger, which lonely planet says is the best thing to see in Scandinavia and a glacier. The hotel has a handful of swimming pools including one the is indoor and outdoor and has a speedy slide. 2 public hot tub and some kiddie pools. Also if you want a massage then they can accommodate it for you.

We ate the hotels buffet for dinner which was top notch, but when we got the bill I was a bit shocked at the price. (like 450 NOK per person, $90 U.S.)

Overall I would highly recommend this hotel as it was a nice environment and a relaxing place to stay, also it has a beautiful view from some of the rooms.
